This elegant townhouse has been sympathetically restored to offer refined and stylish bed and breakfast accommodation in the town of Prades in the Pyrénées Orientales. All rooms are large, comfortable and bright with en-suite shower room and fabulous views of Mount Canigou, mythical mountain of the Catalans.


To the rear of the house is the peaceful mature garden with breakfast terrace, swimming pool and private parking.

It is less than 500 metres from the centre of Prades, a typical market town of this beautiful region.

The bedrooms have lovely views of Mount Canigou and a private bath or shower room. They are all tastefully and individually decorated with marble fire-places and their original wooden floorboards. Each room has a TV and the house is WiFi enabled. We provide fans in summer; in winter the heating is controlled by you to provide optimum comfort. Bathrooms have a hair-dryer, soap, shampoo, shower-gel and towels. We can supply towels for the pool also.
Breakfast is served in the dining-room in winter and on the patio in summer.



For breakfast we offer fruit juice, tea, coffee or hot chocolate, yogurt with fruit and muesli, followed by all-butter croissant, grilled ham and cheese croissant or scrambled eggs on toast. There are also home-made scones, muffins and brown bread made to our family recipes.
In the dining-room there is a fridge stocked with complimentary water, milk and orange juice; also a microwave, kettle and a selection of teas and coffees. If you need breakfast before 8.a.m. just ask us for our self-service breakfast.


Maison 225 is classified 4 épis with Gites de France and is recommended by Guide Routard, Petit-Fûté and Fodor. Also recommended by Tripadvisor.

Prades is a typical market town in the green and fertile Conflent valley, 35 minutes from Perpignan and the coast. Nowhere in the department is more than 55 minutes drive away. It is served by bus and train costing 1 euro per journey, but ideally we recommend you hire a car to really get off the beaten track. Prades has a good selection of cafés and restaurants offering the delicious catalan specialties of the region, all 5-10 minutes walk from Maison 225.


We moved here from Ireland in 2007. We fell in love with this sunny scenic area, and our quality of life is second to none. We will be happy to help you make the most of your time in this area of outstanding natural beauty.
